Yema, created in 1948 is one of the most recognized french brands in the vintage world. Thanks to their will of creating specialized watches for divers, pilots or skippers they managed to design toolwatches that were as useful as beautiful. In the sixties Yema was the most exported french watchmaker.

Speaking of toolwatches, here is a Flygraf which, as the name suggests, is a toolwatch for airplane pilots. It is precisely the second generation of Flygrafs, one of the last models created by the brand before its bankrupt. Launched in the mid seventies, it is one of the best looking Yema there is, using the famous Yema case (used by Superman, Rallygraf and Yachtingrafs..) it is powered by a very modern Valjoux 7750 (the first automatic chronograph movement by Valjoux – a movement still used today). But the beauty of this watch lies in its dial, using the usual V7750 layout with registers at 6, 9 and 12 and above all an applied brushed metal piece that enlights the design. It is yet a bit undervalued compared to the other Yema chronographs, and therefore represents a huge value in the chronograph market. In superb condition, coming with its original box and papers and in the rarest configuration of all (with a bakelite bezel insert), this particular Flygraf is a once in a lifetime opportunity, a real collector’s dream.
